The Division of Student Services at Morehouse College seeks a highly motivated, student services professional to work part-time in the Department of the Recreation, Intramurals and Fitness.
Under the direction of the Director of Recreation, Intramurals, and Fitness, qualified candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of the Archer Hall Recreation facility. Maintain equipment inventory, and perform equipment maintenance. Directly participates in departmental decision making; serve as liaison for the department as needed, and enforces RIF Department policies and procedures. Assist in setting workflow priorities and standards. Will also assist in coordinating logistics for intramural programs, building usage; attend various meetings, and special events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in resolving problems related to the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Assists in planning, development, and coordinates the execution of program policy, procedures, and operations; monitors compliance with university policies, procedures, regulations, and appropriate laws.
- Assists with the development and implementation of reporting procedures; oversees maintenance of department records and/or inventories.
- Assists with coordinating space assignments for the unit and oversee building security, safety, and maintenance issue resolution as needed.
- Assist in coordinating department programs, special projects, and/or events; may coordinate program/project development and planning and execution of social events.
- Project management, recreations and sports record maintenance.
- May participate and/or serve on unit's committees and task forces.
- Attend divisional and departmental meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble and repair equipment
- Function as Facility Manager as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for recreation, intramurals and fitness.

- Strong phone skills, customer service etiquette, detail oriented, able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent records maintenance skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- High personal integrity, knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Superior organizing and coordinating skills.
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, methods, and techniques of recreation and sports.
- Program planning and implementation skills.
Flexible to work shifts, nights, and/or weekends if needed
