Mission/Description
A properly educated Morehouse student must be an outstanding communicator. He must be able to read, write and speak in superlative fashion. He should understand and appreciate how people express their cultural identity through literature and other art forms. The English Department is passionately devoted to properly educating the Morehouse student. Specifically, the department’s goals focus squarely upon building more than the command of language. We encourage an abiding appreciation for literature on humanistic levels.
